As a matter of fact, such actions bring about the serious potential of making the condition even worse than what it was in the first place. So, clearly this is a path of action to be avoided.
Professional Help is the Only Answer
Yes, you can read all the books on the subject of depression help that you want to and it certainly won't hurt. Also, you can take part in all the alternative therapies such as yoga and meditation as well and it probably wouldn't hurt either. If you did, however, truly wished to make sure that your depression went away then you may very well wish to seek the advice and aid of a qualified mental health professional who has a clear and definitive understanding as to what is required to aid a person suffering from depression. There is, quite honestly, no better help that what is provided by a professional so why not seek a professional's help?
